Casino bonus maximum bet explained

Understand a bonus stake ceiling, how it differs from wagering turnover, and which details to check before using an offer.

A bonus maximum bet limits the size of a stake while specified promotional conditions apply. It is separate from the total turnover required to clear the offer. The game may allow a larger stake than the promotion permits.

Bonus amount, wagering requirement and maximum bet

These figures are hypothetical, not an offer from a reviewed casino.

Term Example What it means
Bonus AU$20 The promotional amount
Wagering requirement 20 × 30 = AU$600 Qualifying turnover required if the base is bonus only
Maximum bet AU$2 per round The ceiling for each stake under this example’s rules

At 100% contribution, an eligible AU$1 stake adds AU$1 to turnover. An AU$2 ceiling does not require you to stake AU$2. Neither the ceiling nor the turnover calculation tells you whether you will retain a balance.

When the maximum bet applies

Check the offer-specific terms alongside the general bonus terms. Identify when the ceiling starts and ends, which funds it covers, the currency, and whether different games have different rules. Do not assume the rule stops applying simply because a displayed bonus balance reaches zero.

If a game includes paid extras, side bets or a feature purchase, check whether those actions are allowed and how their total cost is treated. A displayed base stake may not answer that question. Ask for clarification before using an option whose treatment is unclear.

Why the game accepting a bet is not enough

A working stake button does not establish compliance with an offer. As one operator-specific example, LeoVegas’s bonus help describes a maximum bonus bet and possible forfeiture for a breach. Its currency and conditions must not be applied to our reviewed brands. Checked 17 September 2026.

If you think you exceeded the limit

Keep the offer wording, the relevant game-round references, stakes and timestamps. Ask the operator which clause applies, how the stake was calculated and what effect it has on the balance. Avoid trying to correct a possible breach by placing more bets. Use our complaint guide if you need a clear written enquiry.

Maximum bet is not a withdrawal maximum

A stake ceiling concerns an individual bet. A withdrawal maximum concerns money taken out of an account. Casino management confirms no maximum withdrawal and no withdrawal fee for the reviewed casinos. That policy does not establish a universal bonus stake limit; individual offer terms need their own check.

Use wagering requirements explained for the calculation base, and game contribution for how stakes count. The calculator performs turnover arithmetic; it does not check compliance with a bonus’s stake rules. For cashier minimums, see the $10 deposit comparison.
